If this were a movie trailer, this is how it would go:
In April 2020, the world fell into a state of limbo. Time froze and everyone barricaded themselves inside in order to survive
the COVID-19 pandemic.
But this is not a movie.
And we, King Garcia, had to create something out of it.
In order to produce a compilation of videos that would depict the situation mentioned above, we had to ask everyone we knew around the world to send us a short video of their area. A huge amount of people from 20 different countries answered our call and we had the responsibility to edit the material and compose a soundtrack appropriate to the context. This was all done remotely, in solitude and with the use of any equipment we had access to.
The title of this work is Closer (A Tale of All Cities) and we hope it does justice to how it felt like living through April of 2020. You can watch it on Youtube: youtu.be/X-xA-S6TLsw
